So I did some sculpting this week. I’ve been feeling quite inspired by traditional sculpters lately and I felt that I wanted to make a bust of a type of character that could potentially appear in a show like buffy. He’s been fun to work on, my pc is running really badly though so its time to buy some new ram and replace my graphics card. My old graphics card died after the dominance war comp and I have since borrowed a x800.. which isnt as nice as what I am used to.

So he’s done, even on time for submission to the competition. :) Its been great fun and a little stressful to say the least. My graphics card died during the competition and now its finally over my pc went pop tonight too!! Well it did let me finish the comp before its final breath… haha…

Ok so I am busting my balls making progress with this guy :) Mainly working on the tentacles so far as I wanted to get a nice wet feel to them. Its a basic shader that I could easily recreate in the Unreal engine at work which is cool and its the first time I have actually looked into what I could do in max. Its pretty flexible but I certainly prefer a floating point node system.
